LITTLE HOOTS WORKSHOP
July 7 and 14th, 2016 I was able to run two wonderful painting events at the Lacombe Memorial Centre, before I moved out East. I absolutely love planning and organizing these events. It’s a lot of work, but I have so much fun doing it! The minute a class is over, I’m already scheming for the next. I was overwhelmed with all of the support and attendance! (Dreams do come true!)
I’ve worked on my Little Hoots series for nearly 9 years! I couldn’t even count how many Little Hoots have made their way into so many different homes across the country. It has always been a quirky and light-hearted endeavor. Over the past few years I have had so many people wanting to pick my brain and have a try and making their own Little Hoots. So I finally caved in, and rallied the troops!
I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to all the wonderful ladies who came out for each class. I really have the most incredible community. I was so impressed with everyone’s enthusiasm! I am always grateful for the opportunity to share my passion for art with you all!
I think it is so important to create classes and opportunities which invite learning but also playing! I love promoting flexibility, and strongly encourage each student to visualize their very own image. With some upbeat music, a glass of wine and some sweet treats, by the end of the night no two paintings are ever-alike! It’s always fascinating to watch one key-image translated into so many variations.
As always, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
