I'm Danielle Folkerts
A Visual Artist, Art Educator, Arts Coordinator, avid traveller, and lover of the ocean.
When I'm not in the studio painting or buried under a pile of wool working on various fibre projects, you can find me developing and instructing creative workshops. I’m known for my expressive paintings, ocean-inspired textiles, upbeat and comprehensive workshops, and vibrant large-scale murals for Lululemon and more! I have a passion for marketing, art education, and creative programming, and I love providing others with valuable opportunities and inspiring experiences to explore their own creative potential. I'm the face behind The Travelling Artisan - a resource, studio, and brand focusing on art, travel and arts education.

As an active diver and visual artist, my current ongoing series ART FOR THE OCEAN, has developed into a passion driven research project. It an artistic initiative, aiming to learn more about the critical role coral reefs play in our world, understanding the threats they face, while documenting their stages of health, devastation, and recovery, and the organizations who are on the front-lines making a difference.
I serve the dreamers, doers, and entrepreneurs by delivering quality, educational, and modern, creative workshops . I’ve found that most people are curious about exploring their artistic side, but struggle in knowing how and where to start! Does this sound like you?
